Small Color Print Definition

(See below for size and mounting restrictions)
Pictorial Color images are judged both for their technical and pictorial merit. The image must be properly exposed, be appropriately in focus, and have appropriate depth of field. A Pictorial Color image should have strong composition, pleasing quality, and color impact. Images eligible for entry into the Pictorial Monochrome Section* are not permitted. The content is unrestricted.

* That is, images that are black and white, or black and white plus one fully-toned* color.

Prints are judged not only for subject matter and impact - that is their pictorial content - but also for technical print quality. Print quality and presentation are also considered: including, for example the paper texture used or, where applicable, the quality of mounting and/or matting - and their suitability for the subject matter.

Prints must be submitted unmounted. No mounting or matting is permitted. Small Color prints must be 8.5 x 12 inches maximum.
